Wilen Press introduces a new ensemble of Direct Mail letter pack formats produced in-line. That’s correct. In-line. This new letter format, aptly named Letterpak™, allows a direct marketer to put either a letter, buckslip or another item inside a formed envelope that wraps around any one of these freestanding pieces. The entire in-line mailer—envelope and its contents—is produced
in-line on the recently acquired half-web press installed at Wilen Press
in 2007.
The new in-line mailer eliminates the additional costs and time a direct marketer would need to determine envelope conversions, purchase stock envelopes, perform two press runs and insert materials, associated with more traditional
Direct Mail letter packs.
Beginning in 2008, Wilen Press will open a selection of its Letterpak™ formats for short runs of letter packs to marketers. This opportunity is ideal for marketers who have smaller direct mail databases, such as local automotive dealers and local retailers, or for those wanting to test a group of special offers. The Letterpak™
mailers will be produced on monthly Master Press Runs to reduce costs.
